India are visiting Bangladesh on Thursday evening to play three ODIs and two Tests. Rohit Sharma-led India will field a full-strength team against Bangladesh. After seven long years, Bangladesh are looking forward to a thrilling fight against India at home.
The Tigers won the last ODI series against India at home by 2-1. So Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Director and Head of Facilities Department Akram Khan is dreaming of something great again about the India series.
Speaking to the media in Mirpur on Thursday (December 1), Akram said, “India are a very strong team. But we have home advantages. Our players have more experience here. By the grace of Allah, if we play well, if we can work with the strengths of our players, if we can perform, then we can do well."
Bangladesh have always been very strong at home. The Tigers have had most of their best success at home. So Akram is optimistic about the all-important series against India. Especially with their preferred format ODI, Akram's expectations are high.
He added, "Before this, we won series with India, Pakistan, South Africa. Among the three formats, our performance in ODIs is better than in Tests and T20s. Hopefully, we will do well.”
