The home three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka will be the first series under the new contract. This will follow with limited-overs tours by Australia, New Zealand and England this year. After the T20 World Cup 2021, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will visit Bangladesh for Test series.

Bangladesh will host Afghanistan (ODIs and T20Is), Ireland (full series) and India (Tests and T20Is) in 2022.

India last toured in Bangladesh six years ago in 2015 in which they drew the only Test and lost the three-match ODI series by 2-1. After that series, they didn’t come to Bangladesh for any series. But Bangladesh went to India for a one-off Test in 2017 and three T20Is, two Tests in 2019.

Bangladesh lost the Test in 2017 and in 2019, India beat Bangladesh by 2-1 in the T20I series despite losing the first T20I. And in Test series, which was part of the ICC World Test Championship, India dominated the whole series and whitewashed Bangladesh by 2-0. In that series, India player their first day-night Test in their history in Kolkata.
