IPL 2020 Auction: List of players with highest base prices announced

The Indian Premier League auction for the 2020 season is set to take place on December 19 in Kolkata. A total of 971 players have registered for the occasion as per a tournament release on Monday.

The players with the highest base prices have also been announced. Australia’s Glenn Maxwell and Pat Cummins have listed their base price at the maximum of INR 2 crore (USD 279,000 approx).

Meanwhile Robin Uthappa is the only Indian to be enlisted in the list of highest base price; he will be in the bracket at INR 1.5 crore (USD 209,000 approx).

Australia are the leading country in number of cricketers’ registered. They have 55 entries while South African cricketers are standing in the second on the list with 54 registered for the auction.

Besides that, 39 Sri Lankans, 34 West Indians, 24 Kiwis, 22 Englishmen and 19 Afghan players are also in up for grabbing a team in the competition.
