RCB captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers know exactly what needs to be done to bring glory to the team. RCB captain Kohli is pretty much convinced that they have a well-balanced squad that can compete for the title.

AB de Villiers will certainly be one of RCB’s match-winning players in IPL 2020, and he will look to support captain. Meanwhile, RCB’s talismanic batsman AB de Villiers has joked that he is interested to join the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020).

AB de Villiers who was seen batting, bowling, fielding including wicket-keeping in the nets ahead of the upcoming season, shared a light moment with RCB captain Virat Kohli.

“I’ve always joked with Virat (Kohli) and I told him two nights ago, ‘If you need me with the ball in hand, I’ll be there’. I’ve never been a great bowler but I love toying around and keeping things fresh out there.”

Talking about the tough and difficult conditions in the United Arab Emirates, the former South African skipper said: “I’m not used to these conditions, and it reminds me of a Test we played in July in Chennai. Viru (Virender Sehwag) scored a hundred, and the humidity is similar to that. It seems to be getting better. It’ll definitely play a part, and it’s important to save that energy for the last part of innings.”

AB de Villiers went on to add saying that the quality and standards of the game might be of the next level after the coronavirus epidemic-enforced break. The players who are sweating it out at the nets for the upcoming season will be looking forward to having a great season after having been out of the field for a long period.

“In the 3TC game, I faced some of the best bowling I’ve ever faced. The guys are so hungry to play cricket that you might see levelling up. Now the guys are coming back with this rediscovered energy and love for the game,” AB de Villiers said in an interesting episode of ‘Bold Diaries’.

Royal Challengers Bangalore will kick-off their IPL campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Dubai International Stadium on September 21, Monday.
