Irfan Pathan names one bowler he would have loved to partner with
Former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan could have easily played a few more years for the Indian national cricket team and had enough juice left to deliver. However, considering the hectic competition in the Indian team, he might have decided to call it quits from the game. He had announced his retirement from cricket this year.
The former left-arm seamer could have been another gem of a bowler with Indian cricket team’s pace department comprising the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav.
Meanwhile, Irfan Pathan, in a recent interview, disclosed the name of the Indian pacer from the current generation of players whom he would have loved to bowl with.
In a recent Instagram Live interaction with ESPNCricinfo’s reporter, the 35-year-old former Indian cricketer added that he would have really enjoyed bowling along with Jasprit Bumrah. There is no doubt that Bumrah has evolved into one of the greatest pacers for India across formats.
Irfan Pathan was quick to explain why he and Bumrah bowling together would be a highlight for India.
All cricketing activities have been temporarily suspended due to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic which has claimed several lives in the world. In order to curb the spread of the deadly outbreak, cricketers are confined to their homes.
Cricketing evens are expected to return soon as BCCI remains keen on hosting the 13th edition of the cash-rich IPL later this year.
