Kaif set to become coach of Afghanistan

Afghanistan Cricket Board has decided not to renew the contract of coach Lalchand Rajput. So Afghanistan is set to announce a new coach. According to few reports, former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif is their first priority.

In June 2016, Lalchand Rajput was appointed as the coach of Afghanistan. Mohammad Kaif was also in the race but couldn’t take up the role in the end. But this time the road seems clear for the former middle order batsman.

ACB will soon meet with Mohammad Kaif to negotiate. If everything goes right, then its about time Kaif will be seen as the Afghanistan coach.
