Kohli satisfied with RCB's picks in the auction
Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli is happy with his team’s buys in the recently concluded IPL auctions in Chennai.
The hammering process for this year’s edition of the Indian Premier League has come to an end. The event witnessed some good bids as well as some surprise bids. End of the day, the auction ended as a successful one and the excitement for IPL 2021 has already at peak among the fans.
Royal Challengers Bangalore was the most hyped team in the concluded auction in Chennai. They had two bigger picks in the auction in the form of Glenn Maxwell and Kyle Jamieson. They were super active in the auction and managed to pocket two biggies in their squad.
The franchise roped in Glenn Maxwell [Rs 14.25 crore], Kyle Jamieson [Rs 15 crore], Dan Christian [Rs 4.8 crore], Sachin Baby [Rs 20 Lakh], Rajat Patidar [Rs 20 Lakh], Mohammed Azharuddeen [Rs 20 Lakh], Suyash Prabhudessai [Rs 20 Lakh] and KS Bharat [20 Lakh] in the 2021 auction.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli, the skipper of the franchise is very happy with the players picked in the auction. He said that the team has got the players they wanted and he is able to see a perfect balance in the squad. The skipper is confident that the franchise will be having more positives this year.
“Very very happy with our buys and the results we had in the auction. We got what we wanted for the balance and strength of our squad. We had a really good season last year and we believe that the new additions are going to propel us in the right direction going forward,” Kohli said in a video in the social media post of Royal Challengers Bangalore.
“Hopefully, a couple of more steps further than the last year. Cannot wait to be back and get going for RCB this year. Just want to say once again, RCB fans are the best fanbase, we look forward to your support,” Kohli added.
