Krunal Pandya talks about Rohit and Virat’s captaincy


India’s Krunal Pandya is one of the very few current Indian players in contemporary cricket who has played plenty of cricket under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy. Krunal Pandya did make a name for himself by playing under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy in the lucrative Indian Premier League.

Krunal Pandya made his IPL debut for Mumbai Indians in the year 2016 and has played a part of the team since then.

Since 2016, he helped Rohit Sharma and Mumbai Indians lift two IPL accolades and this shows how Krunal can be a utility player for the team. He is also one of the significant allrounders in India.

After relishing the taste of playing under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy, Krunal is now slowly getting to know about Virat Kohli’s captaincy.

Krunal Pandya made his debut for India during the tour of Australia in 2018 and is now looking set to become a great part of the T20I side.

He was recently named the Man of the Series against West Indies as he was productive in India’s 3-0 win over the reigning world T20I champions.

As far as the second T20I is concerned, Krunal Pandya picked up two wickets to stop the home team’s run chase. Krunal had finished the game with figures of 2/23 in 3.3 overs.

He also received the Man of the Match award for his best performance in the second game. He was also economical in the first match of the series as he finished with figures of 4-1-13-1. His spell in the first game also included 16 dot balls and was quite effective.

Krunal who has now played under both styles of captaincy from Rohit and Kohli has opened up on the experience.

“They are both very successful captains and they are all about standing by the teammates. They are both brilliant leaders and be it Mumbai Indians or Team India, I always look to give it my 100 per cent. Have not really found much difference as they both go out to win,” Krunal told IANS.
