Live: Bangladesh scores 155 runs in 1st T20I
Visiting Bangladesh has scored 155 runs losing 6 wickets after winning the toss and batting first in the first T20 international match of the two match series against Sri Lanka at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo tonight. Mosaddek Hossain Saikat scored highest 34 runs for Bangladesh along with captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza who was unbeaten at 9 playing 5 deliveries with a single shot of four.

Meanwhile youngster Mosaddek Hossain played 30 to score unbeaten 34 runs striking 3 boundaries.
Lasith Malinga, celebrated for the first time in the match with the wicket of Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal, uprooted Tamim’s stumps with a perfect toe crusher Yorker into the block hole of the hard hitter batsman who had practically found no time to move his feet.
Bangladesh lost the momentum when Sabbir Rahman became run out in the sixth over of the innings after a superb 57 run second wicket partnership with opener Soumya Sarkar.
When Sri Lankan bowlers could not find a clue where to bowl in front of the two set batsmen, Sabbir just allowed them to come back into the game with the run out.
Sabbir flicked the first delivery of Sanjaya in the sixth over towards cover for a run when Prasanna fielded the ball swiftly and threw in the non – striker’s end. Sabbir missed to reach the crease for an inch thus lost his wicket. He scored 16 off 14 runs.
The over became disastrous for the visiting team as they lost another vital wicket just after another three deliveries. Soumya Sarkar, scoring a superlative 29 runs off 20 deliveries was caught by Thisara Perera, miscuing the shot to mid – off.

During the next few overs, run rate slowed down for Bangladesh along with losing Mushfiqur Rahim early in the innings.
Trying to effort things in a different way, Mushfiqur Rahim exposed his stumps to Gunaratne spin which eventually being shattered. Mushfiqur’s 8 (9 ball) run innings came to an end at the team score of 70.
The initial delivery of the twelfth over brought further causalities in Bangladesh innings. Shakib Al Hasan aired an outside wide delivery of Seekkuge Prasanna. At point, Gunaratne took an easiest catch.
Mahmudullah Riyad stood for a while, resurrected the team from sudden wearies scoring 31 runs striking 3 boundaries in 26 deliveries. It was another Lasith Malinga venture; throwing a pacy Yorker to Mahmudullah, he dismantled the batsman in the crease, and the Bangladesh most dependable batsman in the middle order just edged the ball into his middle stump.
