Bangladesh U19 have posted 274/6 on board in the first semi-final of ACC U-19 Asia Cup 2017 against Pakistan U19 after being asked to bat first at Kinrara Oval, Kuala Lumpur.

Openers Pinak Ghosh and Naim Sheikh gave the youth tigers a brisk start with 51 in 8.3 overs. After Naim’s departure for 14 runs, skipper Saif Hassan joined Pinak to guide his team to a reasonable total. The pair added 105 runs for the second wicket.

Saif made 61 runs off 78 balls hitting 9 fours and a six. Pinak missed out on a century as he hammered 93-ball 82 including 8 fours and a maximum. Bangladesh were pulled back as wickets fell at the crucial time of the innings.

However, Afif Hossain Dhrubo has made sure that his team recovers well. He remained unbeaten scoring 52 runs from 55 deliveries with 5 boundaries. Nayeem Hasan hit two sixes in his unbeaten 15-ball 22-run knock.

For Pakistan, Munir Riaz picked up three wickets for 53 runs in eight overs. They need 275 runs to become the first team to qualify for the finals.
