Mashrafe lauds Rangpur Riders role

Bangladesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza on has lauded the efforts of Bangladesh Premier League’s (BPL’s) team Rangpur Riders role for ensuring rights of disabled population.

“I firmly hope that Rangpur Riders will continue its efforts to bring the people with physical disabilities into the mainstream of the society,” Mashrafe said while distributing wheel chairs among disabled people at Rangpur Stadium in the city.

He added on the same, “Rangpur Riders is inspiring disabled cricketers and at the same time, conducting programmes to find out new and talented cricketers-Better quality cricketers, if get chance, might come to the national crickets from Rangpur in future.”

Meanwhile, Mashrafe also witnessed a friendly cricket match organised by Rangpur Riders in association with ‘Ardrid’ and Shining School and College, Rangpur for the physically challenged cricketers and cultural function of children artists at the same venue.

The 33-year old veteran Bangladesh pacer lastly called upon all concerned for extending assistance to the physically challenged people so that they could lead better life with their family members.
