Miandad criticizes Pakistani cricketers
Former Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad has often left bitter comments on India-Pakistan cricket relations. This Pakistani legend feels quite comfortable talking against India. But this time he walked the opposite way. He praised the Indian batsmen and said that the Pakistan cricketers were ineligible.
No batsman in Pakistan is eligible to play in the same team as India, Australia. Such is the claim of former Pakistani cricketer Javed Miandad.
For the past two years alone, Babar Azam has been performing consistently for Pakistan. The rest failed on the big stage. Miandad says,
“I would like to know if there is anyone in this Pakistan team who has the ability to play for teams like Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand and India. We don’t have any batsmen who can play for these teams. We have good bowlers, of course. But there is no one in the batting lineup who can play for these teams.”
Then, with the example of India, the former Pakistan star says, “Let’s look at India itself. That’s what the performance is. But there is no one in our team who can give the team a chance.”
Miandad is very unhappy with the Pakistan batsmen’s performance. He says to the Pakistani batsmen, “The world goes by on a daily basis of performance and pay. Run today, make money. If you run again tomorrow, you will get money back. If you can’t run, why take money?”
Criticizing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Miandad says, “Countries like England, Pakistan select teams on a series basis. If anyone scores five hundred runs in the previous series, they forget about it. Pakistan is the only country to get a place in the squad even after ten consecutive innings without a run.”
