Mitchell Marsh declared fit for second ODI
Australian seam bowling all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been declared fit to play the second ODI against India in Adelaide Oval.
Australia are now having more tough times with them recently. They had poor performances against India in T20I series as well as in Test series. But they are off to a good start in the new year with the win in the ODI series opener against India in Sydney.
The hosts are looking to steal a series win at Adelaide Oval on 14th January while the visitors are aiming for a come back into the series like what they did in the T20I series at the beginning of this tour.
Ahead of the second ODI, Austalia are gifted with another good news as their seam bowling all-rounder Mitchell Marsh is declared fit to play the second ODI in Adelaide Oval on 14th January.
“Mitch is good … he’s back fully fit and ready to go. He is going to have a bowl today and he will have a hit, so we will see how he pulls up,” Alex Carey was quoted as saying to cricket.com.au before Marsh bowled at the Adelaide Oval nets at training.
Mitchell Marsh missed the first ODI at Sydney Cricket Ground because of the gastric problem and he took treatment in hospital for two days. As a result, Aussies roped in Ashton Turner as a stand by player for the first ODI.
However, Turner was released to continue the Big Bash League on match day at Sydney Cricket Ground. Even though Mitchell Marsh is fit to play, his place in the playing XI is still doubtful as Aussie bowlers did a good job at Sydney Cricket Ground.
