Mithun included in squad for T20Is

Injuries keep haunting Bangladesh before the start of the T20I series against Bangladesh and the latest one has been even a more massive blow for the Tigers. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) have named Mohammad Mithun in the squad as cover for Tamim and Mushfiqur. The wicketkeeper-batsman has previously played 12 T20Is and three ODIs for Bangladesh.

Earlier, uncapped Nazmul Hossain was included in the squad as captain Sakib Al Hasan was ruled out of the two-match series opener after failing to recover from the finger injury he sustained in the tri-nation ODI series final.

The first T20I will be played at Dhaka on February 15 while the second match will be played in Sylhet on February 18.

The first T20 international match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka is all set to occur at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on 15 February, the match will kick off at 5 pm Bangladesh Standard Time. The Tigers are lurked by some unexpected defeats both in the tri-nation series and later on in the Test series in the hands of Sri Lanka. Adding new faces in the team, Bangladesh is hoping for a greater result in the shortest version of the game.]
