Mohammad Mithun gets injured in training session
Bangladesh team had their first practice session since their arrival in Rajkot where they will play the second T20I against the hosts India.
A charged-up Bangladesh team trained Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium on Tuesday for the second T20I against India. And, the visitors were hit with a slight blow as Mohammad Mithun left the field injured during the training session.
Mithun suffered an injury while batting in the nets. He was trying to play the scoop shot and unfortunately, the ball hit his chin which left him injured in the end. However, he kept on batting in the nets despite the injury.
But the physio didn’t want to take any risk and gave first-aid treatment on the ambulance to Mithun. The right-handed batsman needed one stitch on his chin.
Bangladesh trained from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM in Rajkot. The second T20I will take place in this stadium on November 3 at 7:30 PM local time.
The visitors are currently leading the series 1-0 after a terrific display in the opening game in New Delhi despite the increased air pollution problems. Bangladesh won the game by 7 wickets courtesy of a brilliant show from experienced Mushfiqur Rahim and disciplined bowling from the bowling department.
Skipper Mahmudullah Riyad also had a terrific outing as he led the side from the front and also took his side over the line with a huge six to finish things off. It will be interesting to see if Bangladesh will play with the same XI or they will change the winning combination.
