Before that, Bangladesh are scheduled to take part in an one-off Test series against Afghanistan. The country’s Test specialist batsman Mominul Haque has stated that the encounter against Afghanistan would be beneficial for them.

“Talking about the Test championship, it would definitely be a great opportunity. I think there will be intense competition,” Mominul said.

Bangladesh last appeared in Test against New Zealand last year before the Tri-nation series in Ireland. The long interval from red ball appearance would not hinder Bangladesh’s performance, opined Mominul Haque.

“Mental toughness and physical fitness play the part in these situations. I don’t think I would have any trouble facing that. In fact, I’ve got accustomed of these conditions. Several days ago, I appeared in a four day match,” he said.

India is one of the toughest opponents. And it will be really hard to face them in their own ground. It would be beneficial for us to prepare ourselves against good spin attack before facing the neighbors,” the 27-year old said.
