MS Dhoni to turn a producer with his wife Sakshi

Mahendra Singh Dhoni took the entire cricket fraternity by surprise after he suddenly announced his international retirement. The veteran hung his boots last month, Independence day, where he announced his retirement on Instagram. He posted his retirement in his own style by uploading a video of his cricketing journey with Hindi song in the background.

After calling it quits from international cricket, MS Dhoni is currently in the UAE, skippering Chennai Super Kings in the on-going IPL 2020. In the latest development, it has been learnt that MS Dhoni is all set to start new innings in his career but this time it is not in cricket. MS Dhoni is all set to step into the entertainment industry.

The former Indian captain is planning to roll out several projects in the near future. Even MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi Dhoni disclosed in a media interaction with Mid-day about their futuristic plans with their production house.

Future plans of MS Dhoni-Sakshi Dhoni

MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi said that they have also acquired the rights of an unpublished book of a debutant author. “We have acquired the rights of an unpublished book of a debutant author. We will adapt it into a web series. It is a mythological sci-fi story that explores the journey of a mysterious Aghori and is set at a high-tech facility on a remote island,” said Sakshi Dhoni.

Meanwhile, the creative team including the director is working on finalizing the cast. Sakshi also opened up that her husband Dhoni will partially be engaged in the operations of the production house. The day-to-day running task will be handled by her.

It has been learnt that the power couple will give an opportunity to deserving individuals who flaunt their skills.

“When we were developing Roar of the Lion, we thought it was the perfect time to venture into the entertainment industry. We aim to give a platform to deserving talent to showcase their skills along with providing fresh and original content to the audience. Mahi will be partially involved [in the production house].

The day-to-day running of the company is looked after by me. We have a process to ensure quality control from the word go. Mahi and I take the final call with our team’s inputs and suggestions. Our aim is to produce good stories from our heart,” added MS Dhoni’s wife.
