In the last delivery of the Sunrisers Hyderabad’s run chase, Manish Pandey hit the cliff with a six against Hardik Pandya to tie the clash. But Hardik, eventually amended the loss by scoring eight off two balls in the Super Over to guide his side to victory and secure a top-four spot.

In the beginning of things, Mumbai Indians won the toss and went to bat first. Quinton de Kock’s steady half century which was an unbeaten one also raised MI’s innings to a substantial one.

At their 20 overs, Mumbai made 162 for the loss of 5 wickets.

In the post David Warner stage for the Sunrisers Hyderabad, the chase was rather started finely to an extent as Wriddhiman Saha and Martin Guptill added 40 runs in first four overs.

After a mid-innings faltered show against Bumrah and Krunal, Manish Pandya and Vijay Shankar set the tone once again for SRH.

After Pandey composed a 37 ball half century, his team needed 41 in the last three overs. Batting on 51, Pandey struck two boundaries in the penultimate over leaving 17 runs to be scored in the final over.

Nabi thrashed a thrilling six in the last over to make the equation as 9 off 3 balls. Pandey then afforded the six to tie the game.

Brief scores:

Mumbai Indians 162/5 (20 overs)
