Nafees likely to become a late addition to Tigers preliminary squad

However, according to sources inside the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Nafees is going to become a late addition to the squad. Apart from Nafees, pacer Abu Jayed Chowdhury too is in contention for a place in the squad.

Nafess was one of the finest local performers in the fourth season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) late last year. He scored 396 runs in 17 matches with the help of three fifties at an average 28.28. Again in the last National Cricket League (NCL), Nafees made 167 runs in three matches with one scintillating knock of 104.

Bangladesh will begin a preparation camp on January 31 ahead of the solitary Test match against India, which is slated to begin from February 9 in Hyderabad. Prior to the match proper, Bangladesh will also play a two-day practice game against India A.
