Offices, businesses near Gaddafi Stadium suspended for Bangladesh T20Is


Owing to ensure security, all kind of businesses and offices in Gulberg, on Frezoepur Road and in adjacent areas of Gaddafi Stadium remained suspended during the T20 international series between Pakistan and Bangladesh

The shopping malls like Hafeez Centre, Main Market, Mini Market, M M Alam Road, Khurshid Qasuri Road and other markets of Gulberg in daytime are closed. Even restaurants in M M Alam Road are also out of action during evenings due to traffic congestion.

Shopkeepers and workers are unable to reach into their destinations as the city traffic police closed Ferozepur Road and Gulberg Main Boulevard and their adjacent roads.

10,000 security personnel have been deployed for Bangladesh team security. Authorities ensured foolproof throughout the series.

Comprehensive arrangements of security were seen at the hotel where the teams are boarding, en routes to the sole venue of all three matches, the Gaddafi Stadium.

Four-layer security arrangements were made for the citizens. Deputy Inspector General of Police Operations Lahore Rai Babar Saeed and other senior police officers visited the Qaddafi Stadium and reviewed the security arrangements.
