PCB reschedule 2nd ODI against Sri Lanka
Upon mutual agreement between Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), the second One-Day International between the two countries, has been rescheduled from September 29 to September 30.
Rain played spoil sport in the first one-day international in Karachi which is scheduled to occur on 27th of September, Friday. The match has been abandoned even before the toss was taken.
As rain denied to cease off, the match officials called off the game at around 4.30 PM local time.
Pakistan Cricket Board Director of International Cricket, Zakir Khan said, “This week’s unseasonal heavy rains have forced us to review the series schedule.”
“I am thankful to Sri Lanka Cricket as well as our host broadcasters for agreeing to amend the match schedule to ensure there are no further abandonments due to rain in what is an important bilateral FTP series for Pakistan,” he added.
The decision of rescheduling the match has been taken in order to allow the ground staff to have some additional time for ensuring the playing conditions.
The tickets that have already been sold for the first and second limited over match ODI will be valid for the rescheduled as well.
