Rahul admitted to hospital with acute appendicitis
Indian right-handed batsman and Punjab Kings skipper KL Rahul admitted to hospital after diagnosed with acute appendicitis.
This year’s edition of the Indian Premier League has successfully started amidst the COVID-19 second wave in India. With the first half of the league is almost over, franchises like Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kolkata Knight Riders are finding it difficult to get the right momentum in the league.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings are stuck with a huge blow in the form of their skipper. The skipper KL Rahul has been admitted to the hospital after complained of severe stomach pain. The early scan reports confirmed that the batsman is diagnosed with acute appendicitis.
Punjab Kings officially revealed the news through their social media handles. The batsman will continue to stay in the hospital and will undergo surgery as a remedy for the illness.
“KL Rahul complained of a severe abdomen pain last night and after not responding to medication, he was taken to the emergency room for further tests which revealed that he was diagnosed with acute appendicitis. It will be resolved surgically and for safety measures he has been transferred to the hospital for the same,” PBKS quoted.
Meanwhile, Punjab Kings will take on Delhi Capitals tonight after a comprehensive win against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Mayank Agarwal might lead the side in the absence of KL Rahul. KL Rahul might miss the entire season if the issues are complex. This will hit the franchise hard when they have just make a comeback into the tournament with a comfortable win.
