Riyad hints at playing ‘attacking cricket’
Bangladesh team last played T20 before the Corona epidemic spread around the world. After that the cricketers played Bangabandhu T20 Cup but after a long time the national team will play T20s in New Zealand. T20I team captain Mahmudullah Riyad has hinted at playing aggressively in that series against the Kiwis.
Bangladesh’s record in New Zealand is not good. Past history has shown that the Tigers cannot win on New Zealand soil in any format. Riyad now wants to break that unwanted record.

It will not be so easy for us. We have to do well as a team, we have to do well in all three categories.”
Before playing against Bangladesh, the Kiwis won the T20 series at home against strong Australia side. But Riyad is keeping an eye on their game without thinking about it. He said that aggressive cricket will bring good results to the team.
“New Zealand are in very good form,” Riyad said. “They beat Australia in the T20 series. It is better to focus on one’s strengths and weaknesses without thinking about these things. If we have the mentality to play attacking cricket, we will do better.”
