Rohit Sharma finds himself in a tight schedule ahead of Australia tour
Indian limited overs opening batsman and stand-in skipper Rohit Sharma might miss the opening T20 International against Australia which is going to be played on 21st of November.
He is going to feature for India A side in the first of three four day matches against New Zealand A.
Rohit has been an integral part of the Indian limited overs set up in the last half-decade or so. He has been so important that many are requesting and pleading to BCCI to make him the full-time captain of the Indian limited-overs side ahead of regular skipper Virat Kohli.
Rohit was not added to the roster when the team was announced earlier. But through his rich form in the limited overs format, the selectors decided to give him a go and prove his worth in the India A’s four-day test matches against New Zealand A. If he performs well then he might be taking the place of Hanuma Vihari in the senior playing eleven.
Vihari scored a fine fifty in bowling friendly English conditions on his test debut at The Oval cricket ground. That’s why he is also a strong contender for the Australia tests. And that’s why many are questioning selectors’ national team selection process.
