Sabbir in search of a hundred

Bangladesh batsman Sabbir Rahman has played 89 international matches so far in his career and he still couldn’t reach the three figures mark in any match. He is yet to score a hundred in any format of the game.

Sabbir himself is disappointed for not being able to score a hundred yet. He said in the press conference on Saturday: “As like you all, I am very disappointed too for not scoring a hundred yet. I am trying to score a hundred. I hope I can quickly score it. I will try to play like my way in this series.”

Many things he still couldn’t score a hundred because of his aggressive approach, but Sabbir denies: “This is not actually about temperament. My playing style is like that. When I used to bat at one down, then it was a different situation. Now I will play at five-six or six-seven, I will try to play according to the situation.”

When asked if Sabbir is ready for the tri-nation series: “I am well prepared. Though I couldn’t perform in the last few matches. I am trying to learn from the mistakes. I am working on that. I will try to give my best.”

He added: “I am working on playing against spin. I am working playing on the front foot too. I am trying to recover from my weakness. Its about luck to get runs in a match. The technique is not good if you don’t score runs but if you perform then the technique is good, its not like that.”
