Sachin reacts to Rayudu’s retirement

Indian batting great Sachin Tendulkar recalled his fruitful memories spent with Ambati Rayudu while spicing it up for Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich Indian Premier League and he also went on to thank recently retired batsman for his best service to Indian cricket.

Sachin reacts to Rayudu's retirement
Ambati Rayudu announced his decision to retire from all forms of cricket on July 4.

Rayudu didn’t specify the exact reason as to why he announced his decision to quit the bat-ball game. However, it was understood that he was snubbed twice by the selection panel chaired by MSK Prasad and it was so easy for Rayudu to retire from all forms of cricket.

Ambati Rayudu did live up to his reputation playing at No.4 for India earlier. He has scored three hundreds and 10 fifties to his standards. He plied his trade for the Indian cricket team in 55 One-Day Internationals, scoring 1694 runs at a very good average of 47.05.

In fact, Ambati Rayudu who proved that he worth its weight in gold was even declared as the preferred No.4 by Indian skipper Virat Kohli himself not many months ago. But in reality, Vijay Shankar was picked ahead of Ambati Rayudu in team’s final squad for the World Cup.

Ambati Rayudu who was in team’s official standbys list for the World Cup 2019 was overlooked two times, with Rishabh Pant replacing Shikhar Dhawan and then Mayank Agarwal was roped in as Vijay Shankar’s replacement.

“Thank you for all your contribution to Indian Cricket, Ambati. Have fond memories of spending time with you during your stint at @mipaltan. Wishing you all the best for your 2nd innings,” Sachin Tendulkar tweeted.

Meanwhile, Ambati Rayudu supporters started commenting on legendary Sachin Tendulkar’s tweet and again questioned the injustice given to Ambati Rayudu by the Indian selectors.
