Sakshi Dhoni hits out on Twitter trend #DhoniRetires
Former Indian captain MS Dhoni was last seen donning the Indian jersey during India’s semi-final battle against New Zealand in the ODI World Cup last year. Since then, he made himself unavailable for the national team selection and then he trained with Indian military forces.
The experienced campaigner is out of the Indian team for almost a year now. He was expected to get back to full swing for the Indian Premier League but coronavirus has put all the sporting activities on halt which also delayed MS Dhoni’s return to the game.
Meanwhile, all of a sudden, there was an infamous trend on Twitter with the hashtag #DhoniRetires from yesterday evening. Since cricket activities will take at least four to five months to resume, there was a misconception that MS Dhoni was already going to announce his retirement and within some time and the trend went viral within no time across all social media platforms.
This isn’t the first time that hashtag Dhoni retires was trending. A similar trend happened in MS Dhoni’s retirement some months ago.
However, MS Dhoni’s better half Sakshi Dhoni dismissed all the rumours. Similar to the previous reply, Sakshi Dhoni had also posted a reply on her official Twitter account and later she had deleted that.
“Its only rumours! I understand Lockdown has made people mentally unstable! #DhoniRetires .. Get a life !”, Sakshi Dhoni tweeted on the sudden trend on Twitter.
