Shakib Al Hasan ruled out NZ limited over series

Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the upcoming ODI series in New Zealand.

Just a day after becoming man of the series in the Bangladesh Premier League 2019, the shocking revelation has arrived in Saturday morning that a an injury in his left finger forced Shakib to leave out of the limited over series against New Zealand.

It is reported that Shakib suffered a blow from Thisara Perera while batting in the final of the 6th edition of Bangladesh Premier League on Friday evening.

“An x-ray was done after the match and the results have confirmed a fracture on the left ring finger. The affected area will now have to be immobilised for around three weeks,” BCB Senior Physician Dr Debashis Chowdhury said.

It can be noted that this is not the same finger that he went through operation in September last year.

Shakib has comeback in cricket after a long absence due to pus formation in his finger. He led Dhaka Dynamites to be the runner up in BPL 2019. Persistent all round performance earned him the man of the series in the biggest domestic franchise competition of the country.
