Bangladesh all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin came as a blessing to Bangladesh cricket as Bangladesh have always felt the lack of an all-rounder like Saifuddin. Feni's son Saifuddin loves to travel. A few days ago, he was spending time with his friends at his native place. At the urging of his idol and national team elder brother Shakib Al Hasan, he came straight from Feni to Dhaka and started practice.
Saifuddin was left out of the T20 World Cup last November due to an injury. Since then, this cricketer is fighting to return to the national team recovering the injury. However, before two important tournaments like Asia Cup and T20 World Cup, Saifuddin was spending free time in Feni. But on Shakib's advice, he rushed to Dhaka from Feni and started training.
Talking about the conversation with Shakib, Saifuddin told to BDCricTime, “He (Shakib) personally called me many times. Am I okay? And the funny thing is - I was on the bike when he called me. Maybe I went out with friends in the evening... He told me that instead of staying there, you should come to Dhaka and practice. This will work. He said you can ride many bikes in life. But play cricket with a focus for 5 to 10 years."
After hearing such words from Shakib, Saifuddin came to Dhaka the next day. "After that, I left for Dhaka the next day. He told me, do practice and get fit. So that I can enter the Asia Cup team. I got the motivation from there,” Saifuddin added.
After Saifuddin was injured in November 2021, the Bangladesh national team played 15 T20Is and 11 ODIs. Where Saifuddin did not have the opportunity to play. This time before mega events like Asia Cup and T20 World Cup, Saifuddin faces a big challenge to return to the national team.
