Shakib wants match practice before IPL

In the long time off before joining in the Indian Premier League, Shakib Al Hasan long for some field actions.

“It would be nice to play a few matches before IPL. But there are no seemingly no opportunities to that. Some match practice will be beneficial,” he said.

He further said, “I’ve heard BCB was thinking to arrange a T20 league consisting of six teams that would go to the Super League. The concept is quite nice because all the local cricketers will play here. So I’m fully agreed with BCB to have such an arrangement.”

The world number one all-rounder is celebrating his 31st birthday today. 400 fans were treated by Shakib a day before his birthday at the Convention Center of Shakib’s in Mirpur.

Bangladesh national team is in an almost two months of break from international cricket prior to the tour to West Indies in June. BCB is also trying to arrange a bilateral series against Afghanistan within this time.
