Shakib wants to win the BPL

Mashrafe Bin Mortaza won the title as captain in all three seasons of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). “We have a good team. But its not a rule that best team will play final. Its very important to play well even if you have a good team, as well as you will need some luck,” -Shakib Al Hasan

All-rounder Shakib Al Hasan won the man of the tournament award in the first two seasons. He also won the trophy with Dhaka Gladiators in the second season. His team Dhaka Dynamites have 10 points after eight matches. shakib-and-mahmudullah-at-the-toss

They won against the defending champions today, after which the captain also shared his target in the tournament, “I want to qualify for the final this season, in anyway. Its not important how much I contribute. Rather its important to me how my team is been doing and are we able to do what, that is needed to play final”.

“We have a good team. But its not a rule that best team will play final. Its very important to play well even if you have a good team, as well as you will need some luck,” the all-rounder added.

Shakib thinks Chittagong Vikings and Khulna Titans will be the teams as biggest threat for his team to win the trophy. “It will be really difficult to defeat us if all our cricketers play their best. Khulna is doing great. But I think Chittagong Vikings are the best team of the tournament. Rangpur also have a good bowling line up. I think this has been the most competitive event, as it was last three seasons.”

The Dhaka Dynamites are currently in the second position in the points table. But they can go to the top today. They will play Mushfiqur Rahim’s Barisal Bulls today. A win in this match will take them to the number one spot.
