No Kohli in Shoaib’s top 10 ODI cricketers from India and Pakistan

Former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has named his top 10 ODI cricketers of all-time from India and Pakistan. Both India and Pakistan have produced some of the finest and legendary players in the history of limited-overs cricket.

Shoaib was recently asked to pick 10 players in a recent Interaction on Helo app. Shoaib played many matches against India in his career. So it was easy for him to choose best 10. He went with four Indians and six Pakistanis in his top 10 list.

The first name he chose was Sachin Tendulkar without any doubt. Sachin is the highest run-scorer for India against Pakistan with 2,526 runs from 69 matches at an average of 40.09. He scored 5 centuries and 16 half-centuries. The other three names are- Rahul Dravid, Virender Sehwag and Yuvraj Singh.

Dravid is the second highest run-getter against Pakistan with 1,899 runs. Sehwag and Yuvraj both were also destructive against the Men in Green. However, it came as little surprise that Shoaib omitted the likes of Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma whose record against Pakistan has been outstanding.

From the Pakistan, Shoaib selected Saeed Anwar and Inzamam-ul-Haq as batsman, Abdul Razzaq as all-rounder, Saqlain Mushtaq as spinner and the famous pace duo of Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis as pacers.

Inzamam is the highest run-scorer for Pakistan against India with 2,403 runs at an average of 43.69 while Saeed Anwar stands at second with 2,002 runs. His famous 194-run innings came against India. In bowling, Wasim and Saqlain top the chart among both nations as highest wicket taker with 60 and 57 wickets.
