Earlier there were some pictures spread on social media that it was the baby boy. But Shoaib Malik confirmed that was a rumor and said both baby and mother were at the best of health.

Sania and Shoaib had tied the knot on April 12, 2010, in Hyderabad. Earlier Shoaib has tweeted to announce the news of Izhaan’s birth on social media. “Excited to announce: Its a boy, and my girl is doing great and keeping strong as usual #Alhumdulilah. Thank you for the wishes and Duas, we are humbled #BabyMirzaMalik.”

Indian tennis ace took a break for his career after suffering from an injury in the last Australian open tournament. Sania had announced about her pregnancy earlier in May this year.

But the woman star is eyeing to make a comeback to the tennis court at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. “The 2020 Olympics is a long way off. I’ve said this many times that as tennis players, we wish we knew what our lives brought us tomorrow. Having said that though, it definitely looks very doable right now. But one has to wait and watch where life really takes you. Most definitely, I would say coming back to playing is priority as soon as the pregnancy is done,” she said.
