While Bangladesh cricketer Nurul Hasan Sohan lost his first T20I match as a leader internationally, he triumphed in his second match against Zimbabwe with a convincing win.
However, Sohan got injured in the second T20I match of the series. Sohan, who was ruled out of the entire tour due to a finger injury, returned home on Tuesday (August 2). After returning to the country, more bad news has come for this cricketer. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) sources confirmed to BDCricTime that Sohan's participation in the the upcoming Asia Cup is uncertain which is in the last week of this month.
In the second T20 of the series in Harare, Sohan, who was behind the wicket, injured his left hand while taking a ball bowled by pacer Hasan Mahmud. X-rays after the match revealed that the wicketkeeper-batsman will be out of action for at least three weeks due to a serious injury to his left index finger.

A BCB source told to BDCricTime, “He (Sohan) is uncertain for the Asia Cup, he will be sent out of the country for better treatment soon. He will leave in 2-3 days, possibly England or Singapore. He’ll go where the doctor's appointment is available first."
The Asia Cup will start on August 27 in the UAE as an alternative venue from Sri Lanka and will end with the final on September 11. Bangladesh's two opponents in Group ‘B' are Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
