Soumya feels changes in batting after marriage
Newly married. For the first time after the marriage, Soumya Sarkar took the field against Zimbabwe in the first of two-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. In the first game of the comeback, a great innings came out of the willow of the left-hander.
Bangladesh won the match by 48 runs and Soumya got the man of the match award. He scored an outstanding innings of 62-run off 32 balls with 4 fours and 5 sixes.
One such innings after marriage. Is the new life positively affecting batting? Although the marriage had changed him, the left-handed batsman did not want to claim that right now.
Liton Das, another top-order batsman from the national team, had been married before. There had been major changes in his game too. He’s getting regular runs now. Liton said earlier that his attitude had changed after marriage. In mild cases, will this happen?
The left-hander, however, made fun of it. Said, there had been a hint of change. Soumya said,
“It’s only a matter of days. I only played one match after marriage. But there will be change surely, I can understand (laughter).”
Stating that he was suffering from a bit of nervousness after playing the first match after marriage, Soumya said, “I was playing the first match after the wedding, I was a bit worried. So I was more focused and showed much concentration.”
