Soumya learning from Tamim
So Soumya got the chance to witness the evaluation of Tamim, and how the southpaw batsman has taken himself to a whole new level in last two years or so, since the ICC World Cup 2015.
While talking to the newsmen at the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB)’s lounge following Monday (July 17)’s fitness training session, Soumya said: “I always learn something or anything from him (Tamim). Even when we two are batting together in the real match situation, I get something to learn from him.”
Soumya hasn’t been in good form of late. But he is optimistic that he will return to his best very soon, “I am working on my problems, and looking for the remedies. Hopefully I will be able to do something good next time.”
Not only with his batting, but Soumya is also stressing on his medium pace bowling in a bid to become an effective pace all-rounder for the Tigers.
“I do the bowling practice quite often at the nets. If needed, I am ready to support the team with ball in hand,” said Soumya.
