“It will be the first time, I would play a Test series against Australia. So I want to make the series memorable. I shall try to help my team with the bat.”

In the meantime, Soumya who made his appearance in international cricket in 2015, is hopeful of doing well as a team apart from personal achievements. He is taking the Test series against England where Bangladesh thrashed the visitors in only three, as an inspiration.

“We have been doing well in Test cricket for last couple of months. We beat England last year in our home ground. So I think we have a big opportunity now. All the players have been waiting to put their best in the field. Hopefully we shall be able to beat them by performing well” he concluded.
