Watch: Smith takes a sensational diving catch in his return for Australia

Australia superstar Steve Smith has celebrated his return to Australian colours with a simply sensational piece of fielding and makes his quality felt once again in the Australian team as he pulled in a superb one-handed diving catch against New Zealand in the first of three unofficial one-day matches at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.

It was the over from Jason Behrendorff and New Zealand’s skipper Tom Latham was at the batting end on 13 runs. Behrendorff bowled a good slower delivery and Latham didn’t read the delivery, consequently he put off a catch at the cover. Steve Smith was behind that place but he dived and took an excellent one-handed catch diving low on his injured elbow.

At the time of writing this report, Steve Smith is batting at the middle with the skipper Aron Finch.
