New Zealand had another close game in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against West Indies. Kiwis batted first and set a target of 292 for West Indies to win the match. In the end, the match was turned out to be an unforgettable one in the tournament.

Chasing 292, Windies was all on track as Chris Gayle and Shimron Hetmyer were chasing the target very comfortably with quickfire fifties. But sudden collapse put the Caribbeans in trouble and they lost their 8th wicket on 211.

However, Carlos Brathwaite kept trying to get closer to the target from one end. His brilliant batting almost took Windies home as they were only 5 runs before getting bowled out. Although he could not win the match for his team, he picked up an unreal debut century.

After the fighting innings from Caribbean all-rounder, English all-rounder Ben Stokes posted a memory tweet remembering the heroic finish from the same Caribbean all-rounder against England in the final of ICC World T20 2016 in India.

“First it was Virat now it’s @TridentSportsX is clogging up my mentions,I wonder why???that was a unbelievable innings Carlos thought it was going to be a repeat of 2016 in Kolkata…how good was that game by the way,” Stokes quoted.
