According to Sujon, these cricketers, who have been under the supervision of the board for two years, are the most prolific youth cricketers in the history of Bangladesh.

He highlighted the success of the Game Development Committee in the recent World Cup related talk. At the same time, he mentioned the names of four cricketers whom he wanted to see in the Bangladesh national team.

Asked if some of the under-19 cricketers, he wanted to be in the national team, Sujon told the press:

“I want all the boys to play in the national team at one time. I should not name any particular player as chairman. Yet I’ll mention four name- Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Towhid Hridoy, captain Akbar Ali and Rakibul Hasan. I hope they play with senior team players very quickly.”

Sujon felt that the Akbar Ali-led squad has a lot to offer. He said the experience of playing matches helped the team prepare better.

“We’ve worked with this team for two years, now it’s the turn of the performance,” Sujon said. “Everything is the result of discipline. Many matches have been played as planned.”
