Talk on Dhoni’s batting putting pressure on CSK , says Brett Lee
Former India skipper MS Dhoni is one of the finest cricketers the cricket world ever produced. Dhoni was out of headlines after he played the 2019 world cup semi final against New Zealand. The veteran cricketer was expected to return in the Indian premier League IPL. Unfortunately, things didn’t went smooth for the Wicketkeeper batsman as he experienced some criticism due to off form with the bat.
Dhoni led Chennai Super kings picked their first victory against Mumbai Indians in the opener. But they failed to comeback in their second match against Rajasthan Royals. Although, CSK was close to winning the match but they couldn’t ended up winning the match. Dhoni was hugely criticized due to his batting position at that match. Dhoni came to bat at no 7 and couldn’t make the required chase.
Former cricketer and cricket experts also criticized for his decision to bat at no 7. Meanwhile, former Australia speedster Brett Lee believes that the chatter about Dhoni’s batting position is affecting CSK while Speaking in the post-match show on Star Sports.
“They have to start winning, they’ve got the right team but don’t think they’ve got the right position (for the players). I think the talk on Dhoni’s batting position is putting a lot of pressure on the entire team. He has to fix his batting position,” the former fast bowler further added.
CSK will next take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday in their next game. After loosing two consecutive matches Dhoni led side is little bit frangible. On the other hand, SunRisers Hyderabad couldn’t open their winning account as they lost 2 matches out of 2 they have played so far.
