Bangladesh cricket team hard-hitter batsman, Tamim Iqbal who has left English County Club Essex owing to personal reasons after playing a single match denies the news of being targeted of attempted hate crime which was earlier appeared in Daily star and some other news websites. The 28-year old Tamim Iqbal has informed his fans through social media that it was totally wrong and he cuts his season due to some personal reasons.

He posted a post in his verified twitter account and captioned it as saying “I want all my fans and well wishers to know that I cut short my season with Essex to come back home early for personal reasons. Some media reported that we were the target of attempted hate crime. This is really not true.”

He has also praised about England County Club Essex Eagles and informed about his desire to visit England again for the future matches, “England is one my of favorite places to play cricket and Essex have been entirely gracious even though I had to leave early. I thank all my fans and well wishers for their concern and messages and look forward to going back to England for future matches.”

To be noted, Tamim Iqbal was signed by Essex Eagles for 8 matches for the ongoing NatWest T20 Blast.

He went England on Sunday and made his Essex debut on Sunday against Kent. He scored just 7 runs in his first appearance but he is hopeful to do well in the future matches.

All of a sudden, his NatWest T20 Blast mission saw its tragic part.
