Tamim distributes sports goods among cricketers
Tamim Iqbal, the star player of Bangladesh cricket team, has distributed sports goods among the cricketers of Munshiganj.
Sporting goods were distributed among the eight teams of the district at the district stadium grounds on Thursday (February 13) at 11 am. After seeing Tamim Iqbal, the excitement of the audience across the gallery and added joy to the players.
The Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the T20 Cricket Tournament-2020 at a function organized by the District Sports Association and Tamim joined the workshop with little cricketers. After that, the Red and Green team of Sadar upazila played a 10-over cricket match.
Deputy Commissioner. District Awami League President and Zilla Parishad Chairman Mohammad Mohiuddin was present as the chief guest under the chairmanship of Moniruzzaman Talukdar. Former captain of the national cricket team Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu, Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) Deepak Kumar Roy, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Khandaker Ashfaquzzaman, Crown Cement Limited Vice President Md. Alamgir Kabir and many others were also present in the event.
However, Tamim was not in much good form in the recently concluded first Test against Pakistan. He scored 3 runs and 34 runs in the two innings. Bangladesh lost the Test by an innings and 44 runs.
Bangladesh will travel to Pakistan for the second and final Test against Pakistan in April. Meanwhile, They will play a Test against Zimbabwe in March.
