He opened the innings with captain Tamim Iqbal for Barishal but got out in the first ball of the innings. After that, there were many speculations about Miraz’s batting position in the match. And at the end of the day what happened, the 23-year old all-rounder didn’t think even in dream surely.
The young all-rounder, however, is getting the captain by his side in this difficult time. Tamim, the captain of the losing team, was disappointed but happy with the performance of his teammates.
At the end of the match, he said, “We were ahead till 19 overs. Only one over went in their favor. You know, one or two overs in T20 cricket can change an entire match. And that’s what happened.”
Tamim thought that if the pacers could bring wickets in the middle overs, the result would have been in favor of his team. He said, “Ariful [Ariful Haque] played very well. We needed a wicket in the middle, our fast bowlers could not bring it. So, it was very difficult for Miraz in the last over.”
Despite losing the match, Tamim was happy with the performance of his team. “All in all we played a very good match. Unfortunately, we lost the match. I am very happy with the boys’ efforts,” he said.
