Team Pakistan arrives in Christchurch to play tri-nation series

CHRISTCHURCH: The men's national cricket team landed at Christchurch airport on Tuesday to play the tri-nation series against Bangladesh and hosts New Zealand, which is scheduled from October 7-14.

The Pakistan cricket team departed from Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore via Dubai in the early hours of Monday to New Zealand to compete in the T20I tri-series.
The green shirts start the three-way series on Friday when they meet Bangladesh in Friday's opening game.
According to the information, the 16-man national T20 squad led by Babar Azam, along with 13 auxiliaries, reached Christchurch via Dubai.
The Pakistan contingent left Lahore on Sunday shortly after the conclusion of the seven-game T20I series against England.
The green shirts will rest at the team's hotel today before starting their training sessions tomorrow.
All Tri-Series matches will be played in Christchurch. The same squad will then head to Australia to compete in the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup, where they meet India in their opening match on October 23.
