Thakur ruled out of Windies ODIs

Indian fast bowler Shardul Thakur has been ruled out of the first two ODIs against Windies because of the groin injury he suffered during his debut Test.

Windies tour of India has came to the color clothes matches after the two match Test series. The hosts had a pure dominance in the Test series with  a clean sweep of 2-0.

After an one-sided Test series, now its time for the matches in color clothes where the Windies men will be stronger than in white clothes.

Ahead of the ODI series, BCCI announced the ODI squad for the first two ODIs against Windies. Following some news going around the team selection for this ODI series, BCCI announced the squad with more regular players.

But the fast bowling department seems to be so inexperienced with the rests given to Bhuvneshwar Kumar abd Jasprit Bumrah. The bowling department is stuck with another blow and Shardul Thakur has been ruled out of the first two ODIs.

Thakur was given his maiden Test cap in the second Test against Windies in Hyderabad. In his second over itself the fast bowler returned to dressing room with a groin injury. Even though he came to bat in the first innings, he didn’t bowl in the second innings too.

Now BCCI has confirmed his absence in the ODIs. Umesh Yadav has been named as the replacement for the injured fast bowler. Umesh Yadav was left out for the Asia Cup after his poor performances in England.

But the pacer impressed everyone in the Hyderabad Test by picking up ten wickets in the Test. This opportunity will be a good one for the pacer to make some impressions in the color clothes too.
