Chennai Super Kings (CSK) all-rounder expresses his joy after their win against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the IPL 2021 final and also said that the catch he took of Venkatesh Iyer turned around the fortune for CSK to win the match.
“Mr DJ Bravo is going to entertain us all night. It's time for him to change his name from 'Champion' to 'Sir Champion',” Jadeja said after the match.
The 32-year-old all-rounder was magnificent in fielding once again throughout the whole tournament. He caught two catches in the final also, among which one was KKR opener Venkatesh Iyer’s catch who was hitting boundaries all over the ground at that moment. But Jadeja grabbed a great catch to get him out and from that point, CSK sent KKR to the backfoot in the match.
Jadeja also talked about that catch and said that catch was the game-changing moment for them. “I thought the Venky Iyer catch went so high, I looked at Moeen and he was looking at me, so I knew I had go for it. That catch changed it for us,” he added.
With the win in the final, CSK have now won 4th title in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history. Only Mumbai Indians are ahead of them, with 5 titles.
