“There will be obstacles for everyone”, Al-Amin on the Eden Test
Bangladesh have never played with the pink ball before. So undoubtedly it will be a new challenge for them. But Al-Amin though that this would be same for India too as they also do not play with the pink ball before.
“Of course. We never played with pink balls. We played with white balls, we played with red balls. But the pink ball is new to everyone. It is made differently. There will be obstacles for everyone. If the ball gets wet, it will be wet for us and for India too. Their batsmen will have difficulties, so will our batsmen,” he said.
“It is not wise to think about what has happened in the last match. In Kolkata, there will be a team effort. A historical test. Everyone is looking forward. India are newcomers with this situation, we are also newcomers with this situation. That will be a challenging match,”
Meanwhile, the first-ever pink ball test between Bangladesh and India will be held in late November. The main obstacle for this match is the dew. That’s why the BCCI changed the time of the Eden Test.
The day-night match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata was supposed to start at 1:30 pm. Instead, the match will start at 1 pm daily.
