Tigers bowlers improve in Test Rankings while batsmen fall

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday released the latest MRF Tyres ICC Test Rankings after the two-Test series against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal has fallen five places to 26th while wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has dropped three places to 28th. Surprisingly Mominul Haque who scored back to back century in the Chittagong Test also has slipped three places to 30th.

Tigers acting captain Mahmudullah has plummeted six places to 54th and Sabbir Rahman who has been performing very poor in recent times has tumbled 17 places to 104th.

But number one all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan stayed in the same place after missing the recently concluded Test series due to an injury.

On the other hand, in the MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings for Test Bowlers the bowlers   have headed in the right direction as spinner Taijul Islam who took four for 83 and four for 76, has moved up two places to a career-high 34th position, while Mustafizur has jumped 10 places to 49th following match figures of five for 66. Returning spinner Abdur Razzak has reappeared in 95th spot after his five wickets in the match.
