On the gloomy side of starting the series, two of the cricketers in the squad Mehedi Hasan Miraz and Ariful Haque could not make their ways with rest of the members of the team because of visa complications. Newly appointed manager Sabbir Khan also stays out of the team as he did not receive Caribbean visa on time.

It is reported that Mehedi Hasan Miraz will receive his visa in the coming working day and will fly to the Caribbean soon after.

The series will start with the Test matches, scheduled to start from 4th of July in Antigua.

Most importantly, after a prolong period of time, Bangladesh national team has come under the caretaking of a head coach. The former England wicket keeper batsman Steven John Rhodes joined with the team several weeks ago. The 54 year old coach has expressed his high hopes for the forthcoming international assignment.

Bangladesh last head coach Chandika Hathurusingha left his responsibility just after the tour to South Africa in September last year.
